Walter M. Brown
Brown concentrates his practice on employment law matters, including state and federal discrimination actions based on race, age, sex and disability. His employment practice includes a wealth of experience representing plaintiffs and defendants in cases of trade secret misappropriation and the violation of non-competition and non-solicitation agreements. Brown has experienced substantial recent growth in the representation of shareholder and shareholder groups seeking control of closely-held corporations. Brown is 1998 graduate of Texas Southern University - The Thurgood Marshall School of Law, with honors. He received his undergraduate degree in political science with a public affairs minor from Emporia State University, where he played varsity football. Brown is a member of the Missouri and Kansas Bar Associations, the Lawyers Association of Kansas City and the American Bar Association.
