KCPL v. Friends, Case No. 05CV01611, District Court of Johnson County, Kansas. Represented utility in property damage action against excavator. Obtained 100% recovery of damages sought after jury trial and finding that KCPL suffered damages under the Kansas Underground Utilities Damage Prevention Act (“KUUDPA”).

Universal Engraving, Inc. v. Duarte, Case No. 07-2427, United States District Court for the District of Kansas – Topeka. Represented individual at preliminary injunction stage in action for breach of non-competition agreement and theft of trade secrets in the die engraving industry. Non-competition agreement found overbroad in temporal scope and reduced from 5 years to 2 years.

Margaret Hayes v. WDL Technologies, Inc., Case No. 0716-CV21029, Circuit Court Jackson County, Missouri at Independence. Represented ousted shareholders and obtained temporary restraining order and order of reinstatement for company that was illegally shut down by minority shareholders.
